Jesus' family tree is found 2 times in the New Testament:

In Matthew 1:17 it says, "So all the generations from Abraham to David are 14 generations and from David to the deportation to Babylon are 14 generations, and from the deportation to Babylon to the Messiah, are 14 generations."

(Note these are both paternal family trees Jesus being in both cases Joseph's son)

There are 4 major events talked about here and 3 important people mentioned:
          1)  Abraham
          2)  David
          3)  Deportation to Babylon
          4)  The Messiah (Jesus)

The above lineage proves to all that Jesus is King!

Also in Luke 3 is another family tree that goes backward in time beginning with Jesus at 30 yrs of age beginning His ministry, the son of Joseph the son of Eli......the son of Adam, the son of God."
The lineage in Luke proves that Jesus is the Son of Man!

Oh, by the way, if you ever hear that there is a time that the Bible is silent or there is nothing written about an era between the coming back to Israel and rebuilding the Temple and walls around Jerusalem in Ezra and Nehemiah   - They're wrong - every generation is accounted for,  someone hasn't been reading their Bible!!
